Just a cute story for today...

I was teaching an English class at El Bohio yesterday, when we started introducing verbs. Typically, I'll spell the verb, then say it so they can write it phonetically, and then tell them what it means.

So, we came to the word "come." As soon as I said it (because they had NO idea how to pronounce it by simply looking at the word), one of the students popped up with, "Oh, like the dogs!" Before I could answer, another asked, "What?"

"In the movies, you always see them calling their dogs 'Come!' It's a dog's name!"
