Family Life

I'm living in a tiny bedroom (for those who saw my makeshift room in Spain, it's about a foot larger) with a really sweet couple, Jorge and Josefina, who are in their mid-50's. (Pictures of them to come.)

They own a fabric/etc. store a few blocks away, where they spend most of their time, as the store is open from 8-6 Monday-Saturday. Sundays, they travel to a market in the province to buy supplies/merchandise. Jorge has actually been out of work for about 3-4 years, and despite holding a university degree, they don't expect him to find new work, due to the current economy.

The apartment is quaint, and nice, though small. It has the feel of a converted Victorian, with an entry hallway and rooms jutting off in every direction, rather than having a central common room and rooms following. Another quirk? Neither of the two bathroom doors shut completely into the doorframes. All the other doors seem to close and latch, but the bathrooms just kind of get a little wedged, and that's that.
